Europe
Friday I got back from my trip to Europe. I thought I’d tell a little about it. A teacher from my school took a group of six of us to Europe. We flew to Rome (spelled Roma) and stayed two nights. While there, we went to the Vatican City, the Colloseum, and the Trevi Fountain among other places. It was really cool seeing what the Romans were able to achieve hundreds of years ago. After Roma, we travelled by bus to a hillside city called Assissi. It was beautiful there. When you think of Italy with the narrow cobblestone streets with buildings that have flowerboxes on the windows, that is what Assissi is like. After a short stay in Assissi, we continued on our way to Florence (spelled Firenze) and stayed a night. There we saw the Duomo and some other famous things. Then we took a night train to Paris. We crammed all seven of us and our luggage into the cabin made for six. That was quite interesting. We stayed two nights in Paris where we saw the Eiffel Tower, the Museum Rodin, the Louvre, the Arc de Triumphe, and Notre Dame. We took the Eurostar underneath the English Channel to London where we stayed two nights. In London we saw Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, St. Paul’s Cathedral, the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace and the Tate modern art museum, which was really cool. I really didn’t want to come home, but we had to. I just hope I’ll be able to save enough money for a trip next year. But that’s pretty much my trip… watch for pictures!
